My name is Zula Alieva. I am a 29-year-old artist born in Kazan and living in Moscow, Russia. It seems to me that the main threads running through the fragile everyday life of a person are loneliness and the search for love in a world of monsters and miracles. In my photographic series and installations, I address these motifs through the creation of objects and still lifes using natural and found materials. I like to look for signs of a magical presence in the surrounding things and everyday scenes, and to observe how a person becomes naked and sentimental, despite how they present themselves to the world. Here I also see the plot of a peaceful return of the human and traces of their life activity to the bosom of nature.

Меня зовут Зуля Алиева. Мне 29 лет. Я родилась в Казани и живу в Москве. Мне кажется, что главные нити, пронизывающие хрупкую повседневность человека — это одиночество и поиск любви в мире чудищ и чудес. В своих фотографических сериях и инсталляциях я обращаюсь к этим мотивам через создание объектов и натюрмортов из природных и найденных материалов. Мне нравится искать признаки магического присутствия в окружающих вещах и повседневных явлениях, и наблюдать как человек становится обнаженным и сентиментальным, несмотря на то, кем являет себя миру. Здесь же я вижу сюжет умиротворенного возвращения человека и следов его жизнедеятельности в лоно природы.
